I got M's quilt back from the longarm quilter last week. I love the way it turned out.
And I love the rainbowey thread she used.
Now I just need to do a HUGE amount of hand-sewing (the binding and about a trillion buttons--I'm terrible at sewing buttons on. Any advice?). It won't be done for M's birthday, but it will certainly be done before winter. I hope.
My mom's advice is to machine-sew bindng, especially on quilts that will get a lot of washing. As for buttons ... my always fall off!
